MARIE CURIE FELLOWSHIP ASSOCIATION
BELGIAN GROUP
Dear All
Thank-you for replying and glad that you are able to attend the 1st Belgian MCFA meeting. I'm looking forward to meeting you all.
Please find attached a plan of how to reach the Department MTM. Also there are instructions how to reach MTM on the following web-page:
http://www.mtm.kuleuven.ac.be/Find.html
It will be possible to park in front of the department or near the Oude Kantien.
For those coming from Namen/Namur or Louvain-la-Neuvre by train then it is best to take a train to Heverlee station. It is then only a 10min walk to the department. See below on how to get to MTM by foot. There is a train at 12:32 arriving at 13:22.
There are large works taking place at the Leuven train station so it may be best to take a taxi straight to the department since it may be difficult to find the bus stop. Otherwise taking a local train to Heverlee station is also a good idea. Trains from Leuven to Heverlee run 34 mins to the hour and takes 4 mins. The train goes in the direction of Louvain-la Neuve. There is a train at 13:34 arriving 13:38.
See below walking to MTM (10 mins by foot)
Instructions from Heverlee station to Dept. MTM (by foot):
Go to main door of the station: next to the friture-kot (place selling fritjes).
Follw this road up hill. You come to a crossroads, go straight across (a church will be on your right hand side). The road then bends to the left. Follow this road until you come to a large open space/square. Walk towards the Oude Kantien restaurant (straight in front of you). Carry on walking with the restaurant on your left hand side. You are now on a main road and the dept MTM is on the opposite side of the main road.
As you walk towards the Oude Kantien you will see on your right hand side a large grass area with a castle (Arenberg Kasteel). If you are facing the castle the department MTM is on your left hand side.
