reminder: MCFA/Ad Futura "EuroForum" in Slovenia, MCFA Annual GeneralMeeting

Dear All,

I would like to remind you that the deadline for registration for the

"European Forum for Early Career Researchers (EuroForum)"

which will take place on 6-7 May in Otocec/Slovenia is on 15 April. The
conference will be followed on by the

"Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Marie Curie Fellowship Association"

on Sunday, 8 May (more information about the AGM will appear in the next
few days on the MCFA website; MCFA members and affiliates will receive a
separate email).

For details about the programme of the MCFA/Ad Futura joint conference
please consult the dedicated website at www.ad-futura.si/EuroForum. The
event offers a broad range of workshops covering transferable skills
such as Scientific Writing, Science Communication or Supervision
Techniques, as well as more abstract topics such as Research Ethics,
Fostering the Dialogue between Academia and Industry, or Integrating
South-Eastern European Countries in the European Research Area.

A special session will be dedicated to the Future of the Marie Curie
Actions in the Seventh Framework Programme.

Current Marie Curie Fellows can ask their host institutions to cover the
expenses related to their participation in the conference from the budget
allocated to the research and management costs for their Marie Curie
project. This has been confirmed in a letter by Raffaele Liberali,
Director of Directorate D of DG Research, following a specific request for
clarification by the MCFA. Both the original letter by the MCFA and the
reply from the Commission can be downloaded as pdf files from the
conference website:

http://www.ad-futura.si/euroforum/?k=574&j=1

We hope that many Marie Curie fellows (past and current), but also many
other subscribers to our mailing lists (young and not so young!) will
decide to come to the EuroForum to share their experiences and to learn
from each other.

See you in Otocec!!

Kind regards,
Dagmar
