Subject: Fellowship position in Trondheim

ONE FELLOWSHIP IN MATHEMATICS/ALGEBRA

Persons with a master degree in mathematics/algebra are invited to
apply for one doctoral fellowship position within the project
"Homological and geometric methods in algebra" financed by the
Norwegian Research Council. The project is based at NTNU, the
Department of Mathematical Sciences, (http://www.math.ntnu.no) in
Trondheim.

The project is concentrated on selected aspects of algebra covered by
the algebra group at NTNU, especially connected with Hochschild
cohomology, triangulated and derived categories, the geometry of
quiver representations and cluster algebras/categories.

Applicants must have completed a master degree in mathematics. Further

The hiring period for the position is three years without teaching
duties or four years with one year of teaching duties. The position is
remunerated according to the wage level 38 on the Norwegian State
salary scale, with gross salary from NOK 287.700 a year, of which 2%
is deducted for the State Pension scheme.

The application must contain information about education, examinations
and previous experience. Certified copies of testimonies and documents
must be attached. The application must also contain a short research
plan for the fellowship period. Publications and other scientific work
that the applicant wants to be considered, must be included in the
application, preferably in three copies.
