TITLE:           INTAS Call for proposals for research projects
ABSTRACT:        INTAS - International Association for the Promotion of
Cooperation with Scientists from the Independent States of the Former
Soviet Union calls for research project proposals 2005 - 2006. The call
encompasses basic and applied research with no thematic or geographical
restrictions, but excluding market-oriented technology development. The
project consortium must comprise at least two teams from two different
INTAS member states and at least one team from a NIS country (further
information on INTAS and NIS countries can be found on the website:
http://www.intas.be). The project coordinator must belong to one of the
teams of the INTAS member states.
The project duration is 18, 24, or 30 months. The maximum allowable
funding per project is EUR 150,000 subject to the scientific content, the
duration and the number of scientists involved. No more than 25 % of the
total project grant will be available to teams from INTAS member states.
Proposals must be submitted through the INTAS internet-based submission
system. A two-stage submission procedure will be implemented. In the first
stage, only a short outline proposal (pre-proposal) will be submitted.
Only pre-proposals passing all thresholds in the first-stage evaluation
will be invited to submit a full proposal. The first stage of the call was
opened on 4 April 2005, 14H00, and will be closed on 14 June 2005, 9H00.
The second stage will be opened on 5 September 2005, 9H00, and will be
closed 10 January 2006, 9H00 Brussels time.
