maths: tenure track position at Gottingen

The Faculty of Mathematics at Georg-August-University of Göttingen is
seeking applications for a

W3-tenure track professorship in pure Mathematics
(Analysis-Geometry-Topology)

with starting date of October 1, 2005.

Candidates are expected to have an excellent record in research and
teaching. The research area should belong to the areas
analysis-geometry-topology, preferably with connections to applications.
The succesfull applicant will be hired initially for 4 years, after a
succesfull review after 3 years, the position will be tenured.

The placement prerequisites for a professorship appointment are given by §
25 NHG (Nds. GVB1. 2002 page 286).

The University of Göttingen is aiming to increase the share of female
faculty members. Thus qualified women are especially encouraged to apply.
Part time employment may also be possible. Disabled candidates will be
given preference in the case of equal qualifications.
