POSTDOCTORAL POSITION IN BIODETECTION OF TOXIC PHYTOPLANKCTON SPECIES. RESEARCH OF BIOMOLECULAR MARKERS AND APPLICATION TO THE DNA BIO-CHIP TECHNOLOGY.

The goal of this research is to design biomolecular probes for the
toxic phytoplankton species occuring on the french coasts and to set up
a DNA bio-chip biosensor. This project will be conducted at IFREMER
Nantes(Institut Français de Recherche pour l'exploitation durable de la
mer) in collaboration with the Transcriptome-Biochips plateforme of
Genopole Midi-Pyrénees(INSA, Toulouse).
We are therefore seeking for a postdoctoral position starting Fall 2005
to join our lab. The position would be for 1 year, and it could be
extended for additional 6 months (salary would be 27,767 Euros per
year).

Candidate should have experience on :
Molecular Biology (cloning, sequencing, hybridization, probe technology)
Bioinformatics
Phytoplankton taxonomy and Biochemistry would be a plus
