TITLE: PhD-position at the University of Bayreuth in the area of 'Organic functional materials'
ABSTRACT: In the field of organic functional materials, a PhD position is available immediately for the synthesis, characterization and application of Donor-Acceptor molecules which are connected with functional bridges. The bridge functions not only as a spacer, but also as a photo-switch which can regulate the energy transfer from Donor to Acceptor part.

The position is suitable for people interested in tailor-made synthesis of multifunctional molecules and who are generally interested in organic and polymeric synthetic chemistry. This is part of the research in Sonderforschungsbereich 481 at the University of Bayreuth.
Only candidates with good German and English need to apply.

Deadline for applications is 31 August 2005.
