Researchers sought for a two-year position based in Mannheim, Germany

Pending project approval from the Volkswagen Foundation, we are looking
for two researchers from Central and Eastern Europe to work on the
following project:

International Support for Democratization Processes in Central and Eastern
Europe: The NGO Sector

The researchers will be based at the Mannheim Center for European Social
Research, University of Mannheim, Germany. More information about the
Center and the project can be found under www.mzes.uni-mannheim.de.

Requirements:
Background in political science and/or sociology
Completed first university degree
Good written and spoken English

Previous research experience and knowledge of or experience in the NGO
sector in at least one CEE country are significant assets. Preference will
be given to applicants currently pursuing or interested in beginning a
doctoral (PhD-level) program.
