RESEARCH FELLOWSHIP IN PURE MATHEMATICS

Mathematical Sciences, within the School of Engineering and Physical
Sciences, are seeking to recruit a Research Fellow to join the newly
established research team in representation theory of groups and
associative algebras. The successful applicant will work primarily with
Professor Meinolf Geck and Professor Geoffrey Robinson to develop research
in modular characters of finite groups.

Applicants should hold a PhD, or be about to obtain a PhD, in some field
of Algebra, or be able to demonstrate a similar level of reseach
expertise.

The post is available for a two-year  period, starting from October 2005.
