TITLE:            Weimar Scholarships of the Weimarer Klassik Foundation
ABSTRACT:         The Weimarer Klassik Foundation awards Weimar
scholarships to promote research projects referring to the Cultural
History of Europe from the late 17th to the 20th century. The next closing
date for applications is 15 November 2005.

The research project should make use of material available in the Goethe
and the Schiller Archives, the Herzogin Anna Amalia library and/or the
Goethe National Museum in Weimar.

The topic of the research project should be related to one of the
following areas:
1) Culture of the Weimar Classic or the Jena Romantic and their reception
2) Cultural history of Weimar from 1860 to 1930
3) Life, work and legacy of Friedrich Nietzsche.

Applicants must hold a PhD or provide proof of a comparable scientific
achievement. Applications of candidates from Central and Eastern European
countries are particularly welcome.
The scholarship covers a period of between one and three months and
provides EUR 1,000 monthly. The scholarship holder is expected to spend
the time in Weimar to carry out research.
