A i D - Active information service on European research funding Message AiD10538/2 (c) KoWi TYPE OF NEWS: Job vacancies STATUS: News (official) TITLE: Vacancy: Research position for GRID-Systems at Forschungszentrum Jülich ABSTRACT: For our Central Institute for Applied Mathematics (ZAM) we are seeking a University graduate in computer science, mathematics or physics preferably with PhD Ref. 093/2005 - Tasks: Within the framework of the John von Neumann Institute for Computing (NIC), the Central Institute for Applied Mathematics of Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH operates one of the most powerful supercomputing facilities in Europe. As a developer of world-class software tools for high-performance scientific computing, we invite applications for the position of a researcher to support our internationally recognized project KOJAK, which leads the field in performance-analysis technology for highly parallel computing applications. The position is part of a recently established Helmholtz University Young Investigators Group, which will be affiliated to Aachen University (RWTH). The main duties include research, development and participation in teaching activities. We offer a stimulating working environment, access to state-of-the-art supercomputing facilities, travel opportunities and participation in international research collaborations Requirements: Doctoral degree in computer science or related area with demonstrable background in high-performance-computing or degree in computer science and at least three years' relevant research or work experience; significant experience in developing large software systems; good programming skills in C und C++; excellent command of the English language.
