Delays in Payement

Hi All,

sorry if this has been already discussed.

I have submitted the intermediary scientific and financial  reports of
my fellowship (5th FP) in November 2003 to the EC. Haven't heard  back
from them since, I was not worried.
But it turned out that as of today (March 2004) the remaining 40% of
the EC contribution have not been wired to my host institution. The
problem is that there is no more money to cover my salary (not talking
about the lab expenses), as all the first payment (60%) has been used
up :-(

I contacted EC,  they told me that my files have not been reviewed yet,
and I should expect payement not before 2 months !!

I explained them how bad the situation was, but the person asked me to
be patient. I personnaly find that 6 months to review 3 pages is a
little bit too much.

Would any of you had a similar experience ? Do you have any contact in
Brussel I could reach to speed up the process ? Overall, do you have
any suggestion on how to handle this situation ?
