Yes, I had to wait 5 months before I got the money.
My advice to you is to get them to tell you what is going on,
like who is supposed to do what right now, and by when, and then
call back to see if it gets done. That can speed things up. It doesn't mean 
you have to sound angry with them, just keep yourself informed about whose 
desk has your paperwork and when they will return from vacation to look at 
it :) and keep them informed about how you are informed. Use email and, not 
least, the telephone.
