Hi Lluis,

You can always try to apply for a new project. Usually, the EU looks
favorably on people they know (once you're in, you're in...). So you
would have better chances than the unwashed masses coming in from the
street with no prior knowledge. Try to ask your EU contact, they should
be able to help.
