call for papers to session within EGU General Assembly

Dear all,

I hope some of you will find interesting the event I am announcing.
I am an active MCFA member.

I am going to organise a session called
"Natural Hazards Impact on Urban Areas and Infrastructure" within the
European Geosciences Union General Assembly, which will take place next
year in Vienna, more precisely between 24. and 29. April 2005.

The official announcement of the conference with a summary overview is
published by the office of the Union at
http://www.cosis.net/members/mc/showEvents.php?id=82

There is a poster for it which the session organisers were invited to
make known to our colleagues
http://www.cosis.net/members/mailtool/download.php?id=92

But what is of most importance to me is of course the session me and my
co-organiser are doing. The objective of the session is to bring
together views from geosciences and urban planning. It addresses
natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods, landslides, volcanic
erruptions, climate changes etc.
A detailed description is available from
http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/sessions/information.php?p_id=129&s_id=1966
and will be progressively completed.
More general, all necessary information is available from the web page
of the Natural Hazards programme, at
http://www.cosis.net/members/meetings/programme/view.php?p_id=129
This concerns abstract format and submission, support application and
organisers. It will be completed with publication and other
information.
For your convenience all information related to the session, including
background information, the place within the General Assembly and
relevant links for further details are compiled in the flyer I am
attaching to this EMail.

in the hope to have gained your interest and to see you with a
contribution in Vienna
