                   Diverse Dialogues Across Europe:
Humanities & Social Sciences Research Forum

Organized by Intercollege with the support of the European Commission and
the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation

Venue:

Place: Intercollege, Nicosia, Cyprus
Dates: 27 & 28 January 2005

Dear Colleagues

It is my pleasure to give you early notification regarding the forum
organized by Intercollege with the support of the European Commission and
the Cyprus Research Promotion Foundation that will take place in Nicosia
on January 27-28, 2005.

This forum will focus on the EU's social science and humanities research
funding plans (Priority 7) both under the FP6 and the future FP7 in the
expanded Union. We will also be discussing new EU research initiatives
and major networking opportunities throughout the EU 25, Candidate and
Mediterranean countries.

The forum will be addressed by senior EU experts.

The programme would be attractive to:
Researchers
Research managers
Members of research support teams
Funding bodies and their affiliates

Attendance at the forum will provide a comprehensive understanding of the
how you can benefit from FP6 and allow you to gain insights into and
contribute to the form of FP7. The networking opportunities and the
research climate alone will make this an exciting and rewarding experience
for all those attending.

We have limited the numbers to 200 to ensure that delegates can truly
participate so please reply as early as possible.
You will be notified with further details of this exciting forum over the
web site where you will find all detailed information. The web site will
be up and running as of November 20, 2004. However, if you would like to
provisionally reserve a place (without obligation) let me know in advance
by emailing us at this stage.

Best wishes

Dr. Paul Gibbs
Dean of Research
