[MCFA Int] EMDS: career opportunities with leading companies

Dear MC Fellows,

Since the discussion about 'Establishing Contacts with Industry' is quite
lively, we would like to draw your attention to the International
Recruitment Forums organised by EMDS:

The Forums offer you a professional setting of excellence and quality in
which to pursue career opportunities with leading companies, which is in
line with our task force group coordinated by Joerg and Maziar.

For your information the deadline of the just approching the spring 98
edition of "Euromanagers-Eurengineers " (Brussels, 23 & 24 April 1998) is
the 23rd February. 

This unique event can provide you with a special advantage and opportunity
in the international market place and I think it would be very benifical if
we as Marie Curie Fellows could be represented at those events to promote
our qualities.

Each invited candidate usually attends one, two or three pre-scheduled
interviews or possibly more. In addition to these interviews, you will be
expected to make contacts with companies during the event itself and
arrange further on-site interviews (spontaneous interviews). 

Besides this, company presentations and round-table discussions will be
held throughout each day of the forum. This gives you added opportunity to
evaluate and appraise potential employers and develop your preferences for
employment opportunities.

Yesterday we (Joerg, Maziar and myself) established a first contact with
one representative of EMDS at a 'Professional Awareness Seminar' organised
by The London Goodenough Trust.

We are thinking of establishing a co-operation between recruiting companies
like EMDS and the MCFA, in order to allow fellows to take part in forums
like the one above or even organise such an event exclusively for MCFA
fellows. This idea was also welcomed by the representative of EMDS.
